To report directly to the Engineering Shift Manager on shift and indirectly to the Maintenance Manager. They will be required to work independently as required and have a good working relationship with production management and operators, willing to give technical advice to production when required and work within quality, hygiene, health and safety standards.
To deputise for the Engineering Shift Manager when not on site.
To proactively use the PPM system in place (SAP) to capture all engineering labour and parts.
The job is performed mainly indoors in varying degrees of light and heat. The nature of the job demands contact with greasy/dirty substances and sometimes within close proximity of poultry entrails, meat and other substances. It also involves extensive periods on foot and periodically working at heights.

4 on / 4 off 05:30 to 17:30 / 17:30 to 05:30
What you will need
* Must be a Time/Skill-Served Fitter with 4 years Industrial Experience.
* Must have a mechanical/electrical aptitude.
* Must be able to diagnose and solve problems.
* IT Literate.
* The ability to make decisions is essential.
* The ability to organise time is essential.
* Showing initiative is essential.
* Good reasoning ability desirable.
* Previous supervisory experience.
* Good communication skills are desirable.
* Good interpersonal skills are desirable.
* Experience of poultry processing machinery is desirable.
* Experience within a Food Processing Industry is desirable.
* Experience in the use of Hydraulics and Pneumatics is desirable.
