Job summary We are seeking an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Paediatric rotational scheme in the following areas ofservices: Acute/MSK, Pre-school Special Needs & Special Schools, Schools Services (mainstream and special schools) This post is within the Paediatric Physiotherapy team. This is an experienced rotational post, providing specialist physiotherapy to children and young people (CYP) in a variety of settings. These rotations are preschool special needs/primary special school, mainstream schools/ secondary specialschools and acute paediatric inpatients and Musculoskeletal (MSK) outpatients. Each rotation is one-year duration. Main duties of the job The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner providing a specialist physiotherapy service to a designated caseload of children with a range of physical and mobility difficulties and Special Educational Needs (SEN) within the specified rotation. A significant proportion of these children will have English as an additional language (EAL). He/she will be expected to manage their own caseload, travelling between community and acute settings and working alongside teaching, medical and nursing staff to ensure specialist therapy programmes and educational plans are in place for children under their care. He/she will be expected to work collaboratively with CYP, parents/carers and colleagues in Health, Education and Social Services in planning and delivery of services.
