Job Description
My client are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of their popular indoor entertainment venue located in the heart of London. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth delivery of exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and staff performance. Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
* Manage the daily operations of the venue, ensuring all activities align with safety, quality, and customer service standards.
* Monitor and optimise operational workflows to maximise efficiency and profitability.
* Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of all facilities and equipment, ensuring they meet regulatory and brand standards.
Customer Experience:
* Maintain a high standard of customer service, addressing complaints and feedback proactively.
* Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience.
* Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and implement improvement plans as needed.
Team Leadership and Management:
* Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team of staff, including front-of-house, maintenance, and support personnel.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team performance.
* Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
Health & Safety Compliance:
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
* Coordinate emergency procedures, including staff training and regular drills.
Financial Management:
* Monitor budgets, control costs, and manage financial performance to meet or exceed targets.
* Collaborate with the finance team to review operational expenses and revenue streams.
* Analyse sales trends to develop actionable insights and strategies for growth.
Event and Activity Coordination:
* Collaborate with marketing and events teams to plan and execute events and activities that drive footfall and revenue.
* Ensure all events are delivered seamlessly, from setup to breakdown.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
* Liaise with vendors, contractors, and other partners to ensure service excellence and timely delivery of supplies or services.
* Maintain strong relationships with local authorities, business partners, and community organisations.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven experience in operations management within the entertainment, leisure, or hospitality industry.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, especially in high-footfall environments.
* Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimisation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in using operational management software and tools.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve conflicts effectively.
* Flexibility to work weekends, and holidays as required.
