The Retreat Clinics is seeking a talented Clinical Lead to work 15 hours a week for its Children & Young Peoples services. The role will involve taking responsibility for the development and clinical oversight of CYP services, working with our Heads of Service to ensure the delivery of services of excellence, which are statutorily and regulatory compliant and congruent with the values of The Retreat. You will be expected to carry your own therapy caseload and to provide clinical support and clinical leadership for a suitably skilled staff team. The role is based in York and offers clinical leadership to all CYP therapists in our York and Manchester bases and those working online.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a professional with a relevant degree and postgraduate qualifications in therapeutic work with children and young people, including specialist training in one or more therapeutic models. Preference will be given to training or accreditation in one or more of the following:
* Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
* Psychodynamic or Psychoanalytic models of therapy
We will expect you to have two or more years of post-qualification experience as a psychotherapist or clinical or counselling psychologist working with children and young people, being registered with the appropriate professional body. It will be important for you to be capable of developing effective therapeutic working alliances with complex clients and appropriate members of their system. In addition, preference will be given to those with experience of taking responsibility for organisation & management/ professional leadership of services in a relevant service area.
