Purchase Ledger Assistant
* Location: Chelmsford, Essex
* Job Type: Full-time 8.30am-5pm office based
* Salary: £23,000- £29,000 (dependant on experience)
We are currently representing a family run business who is looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistantto join their Purchase Ledger team. This role is perfect for someone either with experience in Purchase Ledger who is looking for a stable and rewarding career path, or someone who is good with numbers and would like to begin a career working within Purchase Ledger. The role is office-based in Chelmsford with free parking on site, and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 5 pm.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Register and authorise invoices.
* Handle supplier invoice queries by raising debit notes and chasing for credits.
* Process supplier credit notes and cancel debits as necessary.
* Prepare and raise supplier payments.
* Assist with the processing of incoming and outgoing mail.
* Liaise with branches to investigate internal invoice queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in Purchase Ledger is advantageous, but they will look at junior candidates also.
* Positive attitude and professional conduct when dealing with suppliers and colleagues.
* Strong communication skills and accurate information recording.
* Initiative to develop skills, knowledge, and behaviour.
* Literate and numerate.
* Sense of humour, ability to mix well with colleagues and form good relationships is a must.
