Job Description
The successful candidate for the Legal Contractor role will hold the following responsibilities:
1. Act as the first point of contact for legal queries across all internal departments.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts.
3. Meet with clients to negotiate terms.
4. Analyse, interpret, and implement company policies and procedures.
5. Ensure corporate compliance and manage risk efficiently.
6. Participate in strategic decision-making processes.
7. Ensure work is delegated out within the small team.
8. Collaborate with external legal advisers when necessary.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal developments.
10. Handle other legal matters as required.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for the Legal Contractor role will need to have the following skills and experience:
1. Be a qualified solicitor.
2. Have extensive experience in contract review and negotiation.
3. Have previous experience of working in an In-house legal function.
4. Experience of working within the financial services or professional services sector is an advantage.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. The ability to prioritise effectively.
What's on Offer
This is an interim role for a minimum of 3 months, but with a strong possibility of extension. Hybrid working - 2 days in the office per week.
