Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HR Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity where the successful post holder will be working within the People & Culture department at CIPS. This role would suit a candidate who has previously been working within an HR Administrator role and looking to develop their experience within employment relations and recruitment with the support of the HR Business Partners.

You’ll advise managers to enable them to fully support and lead their teams. You will be responsible for a day-to-day generalist HR transactional service to several specific business areas, both UK and global regional offices.
Key Responsibilities
Take responsibility for providing professional HR guidance and support to business area managers by:
1. Building positive relationships with management teams and evidencing the value of following HR policies and processes.
2. Advising on performance management including disciplinary and grievance processes at specified levels.
3. Advising and supporting on the management of sickness absence, maternity absence, flexible working and parental leave requests.
4. Assisting in identifying employee development requirements and talent within the organisation.
5. Providing advice to managers and supporting them in maintaining positive mental health within their teams.
6. Leading and supporting on HR policy and process design and implementation across the organisation.
Be accountable for the acquisition and retention of talent by:
1. Delivering an efficient and legally compliant recruitment process suitable to the geography, including all necessary administration that enables CIPS to attract the best talent available via a variety of channels.
2. Supporting managers to short-list potential candidates for roles, and during the interview process.
3. Designing and delivering induction programmes that ensure new employees are fully equipped to succeed.
4. Identifying continuous improvement opportunities across the employee lifecycle.
Provide support and professional guidance to employees by:
1. Ensuring an understanding of the benefits on offer.
2. Assisting in accessing support mechanisms such as EAP and Healthcare benefits.
3. Supporting career and development opportunities within the organisation.
Administration:
1. Responsible for the collation of HR metrics data and production of Management Information and reports to enable CIPS to understand fully key measures of employee performance and engagement with recommendations on actions to lift engagement.
2. Day to day maintenance of the nominated HR database, ensuring data protection compliance at all times. This includes inputting employee data on the HR online system, including details of new starters, leavers, changes to terms and conditions and amendments to personal details.
3. Responsible for the maintenance and improvement of all CIPS electronic systems and processes, managing the HR Team’s content on the Connect@CIPS including organisation charts, policies and guides.
4. Supporting the HR Business Partners and People and Culture Director with any other general Human Resources or People Development activities as required.
Experience
1. Proven experience working in an HR admin role is essential.
2. Previous experience working on employment relations cases.
3. Previous experience working within recruitment.
4. High attention to detail and data quality.
5. IT literate, confident in using Excel and SharePoint. Previous experience working with systems.
6. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with employees at all levels.
8. Ability to prioritise and remain calm under pressure.
9. Professional, confidential and discreet.

Pay: £34,739.00-£41,252.00 per year
