The role includes:
1. Opening up/locking up of practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols.
2. Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments system.
3. Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits, and telephone consultations, ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional or management.
4. Taking messages and passing on information.
5. Filing and retrieving paperwork.
6. Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information.
7. Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members, and associated healthcare agencies and providers.
8. Providing clerical assistance to practice staff as required from time to time, including word/data processing, filing, photocopying.
9. Attending and participating in any Practice meetings when required. These may be on days you do not normally work; however, you are expected to attend and will be paid overtime.
