Your role with us The Transport Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operational activity of the Internal Transport Service, allocation of vehicles, safety checks and maintenance of the vehicle fleet. You will manage the service’s resources and gain the best economic use for the charity. In addition to this, you will also promote safety in all Transport related activities that the charity undertakes. Control of transport budget/finances and monthly reporting. Key Responsibilities: To action all long distance Transport Requests and deploy the drive resource at the Northampton site (c20 Drivers), balancing internal cost verses external costs to make best economic choice for the charity. Also completing weekly pharmacy deliveries to Regions, Birmingham and Essex. In conjunction with the Service Manager Soft FM, to produce and keep current operating handbooks, advice documentation and procedures. To ensure that all staff throughout the hospital are aware of the methods to book vehicles and the restrictions in their use. To arrange all safety checks, MOT’s, repairs and servicing of all fleet vehicles at all sites and conform to relevant regulations. Referring all insurance claims to the Service Manager. Also to ensure all fleet vehicles have valid Road Fund License in place at all times, at all sites. To manage the MS Excel based Private Hire invoice & BP Fuel card invoice reconciliation process used by Finance for recharging purposes, answering all ward queries. Completing anti-fraud checks and price validation.
