SEN Teaching Assistant Role
Simply Education are working with a lovely primary school located in High Wycombe who are looking for a nurturing and kind individual to join their team. The role will include working to support learners with special educational needs throughout the school day. This position is full time and due to start in December ready for the new academic year. The Role:
- As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one support to students with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborating with the classroom teacher to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Occasional group work, facilitating peer learning and collaboration.
- Implementing personalised educational plans and monitoring student progress.
- Creating a nurturing atmosphere that fosters student confidence, self-esteem, and a love for learning.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in students' lives.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of individual learners.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn new techniques and strategies.

This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday), but part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.
Start Date: Immediate or December 2024 (flexible)
