Insight & Data Analyst Chesterfield Home working Up to £38,000 Benefits Your new role My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will leverage our extensive data resources to uncover actionable insights, craft compelling data-driven stories, and influence strategic decision-making across the organization. This is a vital role working with key stakeholders. You will understand performance drivers; evaluate the data available to measure these; recommend solutions to improve and present updates and seek feedback, to allow the business to achieve its objectives and to continually improve. The post holder will enable the provision of effective operational plans and insight on where service quality can be improved to drive operational excellence. Responsibilities Proactively monitor service performance and KPIs to anticipate and address issues impacting member experience and operational effectiveness Use reporting and analysis tools to improve the quality and speed of operational decision making. Work in partnership with internal teams to undertake root cause analysis and drive process improvement/quality standards. Implement solutions to extract value from unstructured data. Turn data into user stories that provide a compelling reason for change. Map data to member journeys and build behavioural models to improve operational performance and/ or member experience. Work alongside Planning & Reporting Business Partners to improve our forecasting and capacity planning methodologies. Any other duties as required to support the Head of Planning & Reporting and their stakeholders. Experience needed A natural curiosity to explore data and uncover hidden insights. Our technology stack is primarily Microsoft based (SQL Server, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, MS Teams, SharePoint etc). The ability to build and improve complex SQL scripts to extract data from source systems (SQL Server). Experience using R or Python to maximise data value and uncover hidden insights. Experience of working within a back office or customer/ member facing telephony environment. Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with a high degree of competency in using them in the production of reports. The ability to work to deadlines and manage workload appropriately Excellent numeric and data manipulation skills. Strong relationship skills with the ability to communicate / interact at all levels within the organisation and external to the organisation Able to effectively manage and prioritise their workstack, recognising the importance of maintaining visible progress. A strong customer focus coupled with a sound commercial awareness. Desirable A basic knowledge and understanding of the range of services provided by capacity planning, business intelligence and quality assurance functions. Experience using Large Language Models (LLM's) to improve efficiency, deliver new products or uncover insights. ETL experience with JSON API's and building and maintaining SQL server stored procedures. Hands on experience of Power BI development including data modelling and report development using DAX and Power Query (M) would be desirable.
