The role of HR Business Partner - Operations is part of the regional HR team supporting the GEIS (former Crouse Hinds, B-Line, Oil & Gas) division in Eaton responsible for all Human Resource activities and programs for the Operations function. This position serves as a business partner focused on areas such as HR strategy, organizational effectiveness, talent management and development, succession planning, performance management, workforce planning, compensation and benefits, employee and labour relations, retention, diversity and legal compliance. This position is a key member of the Operations management team as well as being a key member for the HR organization.
Suitable candidate can be based anywhere across the EMEA region.
What you’ll do:
The role covers a geography stretching from the UK to India, with employees located over 17 countries and contributing to the performance of four P&Ls.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the individual will be involved in broad organisation projects including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, requiring you to be able to work with different cultures to influence change and progress.
* As the business partner to the Operations Director the incumbent will work to identify and shape the key drivers tied to growth in the region and translate these into actionable plans for deployment.
* Supports achievement of overall business objectives through the design and implementation of effective HR strategy, programs, practices, policies, and tools.
* Helps the business ensure there is a continuing talent pool of skills and leadership available to drive the business. This will include providing direction and leadership in succession planning, training, talent development and performance management.
* The role will need to navigate the complexities of the regional business so will require coaching, consulting, and facilitation skills to influence behaviour and business decisions consistent with Eaton Values and Philosophy.
* Develops, recommends, and implements culture actions, policies, procedures and employee feedback tools designed to promote and monitor a positive employee relations climate and the accomplishment of company objectives.
* Coaches and develops high performing plant HR and staff and supports them in driving effective recruiting and retention strategies and other HR initiatives focused on meeting human capital needs.
* Deploys an effective employee communications strategy to provide updates on current business performance and allows for employee feedback on issues affecting the workforce.
* Create organizational capacity for change, leading and sponsoring programs that promote organizational flexibility and effectiveness. Focus on World Class Excellence in Ops and HR.
* Effectively deliver standardised HR processes and programs with full alignment of the HR Business Partner - Functions.
* Be passionate about evolving our culture, supporting engagement, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing programs, helping to develop our working practices in line with external trends.
Qualifications:
* Experienced HRBP background and degree qualified (which may include membership of a HR professional body, such as CIPD).
Skills:
* Experienced HR professional with a generalist background and exposure to working with multi-functional teams, ideally including engineering, commercial and finance.
* Ability to work through complexity and in a large global business environment.
* Ability to interpret business strategies into people related programs and initiatives.
* Hands on experience of organisation design and talent management.
* Ideally full employee lifecycle HR knowledge and experience across European countries.
* Work independently as well as cross functionally.
* Be able to identify workable and realistic solutions.
* Knowledge of employment law.
* Good organizational agility to coach, consult and facilitate at multiple levels.
* Communication, interpersonal relationship-building, teamwork, and leadership experience.
