About the role.
LAMDA Examinations is a strategic business unit within LAMDA Limited and plays a vital role in managing and delivering all examination services for LAMDA, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements set by OFQUAL Qualifications Wales and CCE, as well as other relevant legal frameworks.
The Head of Operations holds a critical leadership role in LAMDA Examinations, overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of LAMDA’s exams across UK assessments and managing both UK and International results function and certification of all learners.
The role will ensure that all examination processes are executed with operational excellence, maintaining the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance from learner registration through to certification.
As a key leader within the department, the Head of Operations will guide and develop the operations team and infrastructure, manage complex logistical frameworks, and foster strong partnerships with key stakeholders to deliver an exceptional experience for learners, examiners, and examination centres/customers globally.
Working closely with the Commercial Director, CEO & Principal of LAMDA, Senior Management team and other LAMDA departments, you will help deliver LAMDA’s objectives through providing the operational infrastructure to support the growth and development of LAMDA Exams.
The role will be accountable through the Commercial Director to the Examinations Committee of the Board of Trustees for the performance and operation of LAMDA Exams.
Finally, you will ensure operational structure, process, and systems are in place to support the growth strategy to meet an increasing and changing demand for Exams both in the UK and globally.
Who we are looking for.
The successful Head of Operations will have up-to-date knowledge of the qualifications awarding sector and proven experience in a senior operational leadership role.
You will also have a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing the awarding of educational qualifications and a comprehensive understanding of project management and principles of budget management.
As someone with prior experience managing exam operations, improving efficiencies, automating processes and making positive changes to operational procedures, you will be a strategic thinker and a flexible contributor with proven analytical skills and an ability to effectively problem solve.
In addition, you will have proven experience leading and managing staff teams at a senior level, fostering constructive cross-team collaboration, and the ability to identify, embrace and lead through change.
