We are seeking a skilled Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager to join our team at Amazon. This role will oversee a team of engineering technicians, focusing on safety and equipment availability.
Key responsibilities include:
Leadership and Team Management
• Lead, support, and mentor a team of engineering technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and standard work practices.
Techincal Expertise and Problem Solving
• Work with the team and wider network to harness technical expertise and build solutions.
Safety and Compliance
• Support the Reliability Engineering Manager in implementing, recording, and auditing safety and statutory compliance programs.
Maintenance and Standards
• Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide high equipment availability.
Training and Development
• Ensure sufficient technical coverage by organizing and directing the training program for the team.
Project Management
• Organize local projects or support EU-level projects as assigned by the manager.
• Be prepared to work on shift to maintain a strong connection to the team and daily work.
Requirements
A UK Higher National Diploma (HND) or Higher National Certificate (HNC) or equivalent is required. Relevant experience in maintenance, people management, and liaising with stakeholders is essential. Advanced proficiency in English and upper intermediate proficiency in the local language is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
A degree, experience with statutory regulations, and experience with automated equipment are desirable. Familiarity with data analysis tools, PLC-based control systems, and project management processes is also preferred.
