Are you an enthusiastic nurse with dialysis experience, then this small dialysis unit may be just the place for you If you have excellent communication skills and want to make a difference to your patients, come and join us The Renal unit at Ludlow has 4 dialysis stations and is open 6 days a week from monday to Saturday. Previous experience is essential however we are keen to develop staff with further training and courses. Main duties of the job As a dialysis nurse you will care for patients in Chronic Kidney Failure who attend the out patient unit for dialysis 3 times a week. Responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation ofindividualised patient care. Working in partnership with patients and their carers to ensure the patients training needs are met ensuring their safety to dialyse at home. To ensure the patient's physical, spiritual and emotional needs are met. Formulate and deliver high quality dialysis therapy. Assessment of patients without direct supervision, seeking guidance on actions that are outside agreed defined standards. Recognise changes in patients' conditions which require the intervention of others and ensure that timely referrals are made or escalation procedures enacted as appropriate About us On the Dialysis unit we care for patients undergoing Haemodialysis and focus on holistic care, we also promote self-care, which enables and empowers our patients. Our aim is to provide a high quality standard of individualised care and treatment to patients with established renal failurewithin a safe and supportive environment by friendly, competently trained staff. We will give you a supernumerary period to complete our dialysis competencies.
