What you will be doing : Perform scheduled activities on a variety of software applications, IT hardware, and other equipment for STARK UK, enabling other IT Support teams to focus solely on providing end user support. This role also optimises processes using workflow and robotic automation tools. Documentation, handover and onboarding of activities and processes are a key part of the role to ensure that a resilient and well-documented operations schedule is created. You will be required to: Perform scheduled application tasks on a variety of systems in a timely manner. Own and resolve incidents assigned to team and own queue, ensuring that effective communication with customers is maintained throughout and business impact is understood and minimised. Perform system housekeeping routines out of normal trading hours to minimise downtime to our customer base, these are varied and a necessity of the role. Administer and support the tools and applications used within the department. To ensure the resolution of documented fixes and as well as prompt escalation/ accurate recording of unknown/undocumented issues as they arise. Ensure data backups for platforms in scope complete within timescales and exceptions are logged and escalated so as not to comprise DR capabilities. Identify, suggest and implement improvements within the departmental processes to improve our customers’ experience. Support the management of the UK facing element of ServiceNow, working with Group IT and centralised development teams to deliver enhancements, improvements and increase utilisation of this tool. Support projects to automate and streamline processes, focusing on minimising manual intervention. Assist facilities management in monitoring stock levels of IT hardware items, ensuring that key peripherals are made available and dispatched to branches, to order as. To understand their accountability for individual risks. Comply with all Company policies and procedures (HR, Health & Safety, Business Controls, GDPR etc.) The role will require a level of weekend, and out of hours working to support the execution of scheduled activities; flexibility to support this schedule will be. What you’ll need to have: Capability to follow and maintain existing processes, as well as create, implement and document new ones. Has the initiative to identify manual processes which can be automated and/or optimised to deliver greater value to the business. Proactive, well organised, with the ability to schedule and carry out work with minimum supervision. Customer-focussed, with the capability to offer a support service committed to service level agreements. Excellent communication and team skills. Experience of ITSM tools, preferably Service Now. Proven experience of working in a similar role. Experience of supporting applications and solving problems. Experience in writing process documentation and procedures. Strong time management and efficiency skills organised a nd delivery focused. Able to build and maintain good working relationships with other areas of IT, stakeholders and suppliers. Desirable ITIL v4 Foundation qualified. Experience of using MS Power Apps Experience of working with enterprise applications. A level of understanding around scripting and process automation.
