Bright Start Children’s Centre Services within Bath and North East Somerset are looking for a highly committed Early Years Practitioner to support our service delivery, working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Through this role, you will support children and families in various ways including, creating safe and stimulating environments for them to learn and develop, promoting positive attachment practice within groups and support the parents as the key educator in their child’s learning and development. You will work closely with families within our indoor- and outdoor-based groups and provide play interventions for child(ren) and their parent(s) or carer(s) within the family home. We are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual with at least a Level 3 qualification who has a vision for outstanding practice to join our team. You will work in partnership with other agencies to deliver mutually-agreed interventions. You Will Need To Hold an appropriate level 3 qualification in early years Work independently under the direction of a senior member of staff to provide play-focussed interventions and light-touch family support work in the family home Support colleagues in the running of nurturing children’s groups, either alongside or independently of their parent(s) or carer(s) Work in partnership with parent(s) or carer(s), other council departments and partner agencies Have a good understanding of safeguarding and promoting health and safety of children and families Have strong verbal and written communication skills The post will be based at Bath Children and Family Centre, Charlotte Street, Bath.
