We invite applications for 2 Junior Clinical Teaching Fellow posts. Two posts are available working between Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole General Hospital. Main Duties of the Job
Clinical Teaching Fellows will be involved in the delivery of a wide variety of teaching including:
* Bedside teaching on wards
* Small group problem solving / tutorials
* Clinical skills teaching
* Simulation suite scenarios
* Course induction and feedback sessions
The successful candidate will help to develop and organise teaching sessions for medical students and will liaise with specialty lead clinicians to do so. The successful candidate will organise and deliver exam preparation training including a mock OSCE for final year students. CTFs will offer pastoral support for medical students, will be role models for medical students in all aspects of professional and clinical life, and will be as flexible and adaptable as possible to offer personalised support and training for students. The CTF role is primarily educational, and the successful candidates will adapt and spend all of their time providing education at key times of the year with the flexibility to experience more clinical work at other times of year (average 2 clinical sessions per week).

Experience
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Up to date with current NHS clinical practice
* Minimum 2 years post graduate clinical work experience (at commencement of post)
* Trained at UK medical school or familiar with the curriculum and requirements of University of Southampton Medical School
Qualifications and Training
* Current GMC registration and licence to practice
* Basic Medical Qualification
* Successful completion of 2 year Foundation Programme
