The Vacancy
Pre-Press Operator (Filtration Plant)
Start date: 01 April 2025 – 18 month fixed term contract
Shift pattern: From 1st April to 30 June 2025, you will be working Tuesday to Thursday, 6am – 6pm. From 1st July 2025, we will move to a Double Day shift pattern – Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm or 2pm – 10pm (alternated weekly). We also have a permanent night shift available – Monday to Friday – 10pm – 6am.
Starting salary: £31,019 per annum, rising to £31,699 on successful completion of 3-month probation. Moving to £39,599 when working Double Day shift. Plus highly competitive overtime payments.
Night shift salary: £39,819 rising to £42,239 on successful completion of 3-month probation.

De La Rue is currently looking to recruit Pre-Press Operators (Filtration Plant) for our site near Loughton, Essex. Reporting to the Pre-Press Manager, you will be required to support operations by ensuring the smooth running of our Effluent Plant area. The role will also include but is not limited to:
* Ensuring there are no production delays resulting from unavailability of solution
* Ensuring that the quality of solution is to the standard required
* Making our Print team aware of any breakdowns in time to move to backup equipment to ensure a smooth operation
* Being proactive in monitoring the levels and equipment ensuring efficient running and optimum availability
* Ensuring correct procedures are followed to meet output standards
* Ensuring that our recycled water is of the correct quality and that any solutions discharged to drains comply with Local Authority requirements
* Ensuring that all solid waste is disposed of in accordance with legislative requirements
* Responsible for ensuring that the Effluent Plant is operated safely and correctly
* Working with our Engineering team to flag and report any maintenance or breakdown issues
