We are looking to recruit a Trainee Careers Adviser to join our friendly community team in Manchester. You will become part of a team that engages and provides careers support to 16–18-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), helping them to identify their career ambitions and move into fulfilling training and employment opportunities. This varied, interesting and rewarding role will be based at our office at The Millennium Powerhouse in Moss Side though you will work flexibly in venues in the community across Manchester. We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic individual who can build meaningful relationships with young people, helping them understand their career skills and strengths, overcome personal barriers and create a better future for themselves. You will join our team in the work that we do across the city and work closely with colleagues in partner organisations to help improve outcomes for young people. We want to invest in your future, so we will fund a Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance & Development, as part of your training, worth over £3,000. Whilst you train, you will work alongside our highly professional careers advisers contacting young people, their parents/carers, and a range of professionals from support services, training providers and employers across the city. We can offer flexibility for full-time/part-time work/term time working arrangements. We believe that both part-time and full-time staff make a valuable contribution to our workforce.
