Job Overview
The successful candidate will be committed to giving our patients and referrers the very best quality of care and service. The post is permanent full time, 37.5 hours a week. The successful candidate may be offered a band 5/6 Preceptorship if not currently a Band 6. On completion of the preceptorship, the successful candidate will attain Band 6.
The CT scanning department currently has nine state-of-the-art CT scanners providing support to a wide range of referrers, including the level 1 Major Trauma centre, Vascular and Neuro intervention, Paediatric, Musculoskeletal, and Oncology services.
Being part of the University Hospital of North Midlands brings with it the opportunity to contribute to the training of student Radiographers on their clinical placement and of CT Radiographers on Band 5/6 preceptorship.
Main Duties of the Job
Your day-to-day role would include:
1. Efficient and effective running of the CT lists, ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to provide a safe and efficient environment for the patient.
2. Participate in the supervision of student Radiographers and training of CT Radiographers on Band 5/6 preceptorship.
3. Maintaining good working relationships with all Departments.
4. Be proactive and keen to fulfil the responsibilities of the Band 6 role as in the Job Description.
