Kestrel HR is delighted to be working with Graysons to find a General Manager to lead their flagship visitor attraction in the heart of the Sussex countryside, Wakehurst Botanical Gardens.
The 500 acre gardens are part of the world-famous Kew Gardens Group, and are hugely popular with tourists and families alike, looking to enjoy the American Prairies, the Australasian or South American woodlands, or the thousands of flora and fauna on display.
Part of the guest experience is the hospitality on offer, and we are looking for a talented manager to lead the team.
There are three main outlets, being the kitchen, serving fresh local ingredients and a selection of changing daily specials, the pantry with a more grab and go feel of sandwiches and pastries, and the cafe, which is perfect for a quick snack or a long lunch.
People come to see the gardens, but the hospitality on offer really makes the experience complete.
We are looking for a hospitality General Manager, with a strong commercial background. Sales and profitability are important with tight margins & a fluctuating footfall, and the ability to lead a team to deliver exceptional service is essential.
If you have experience of, or a strong interest in, the world of gardens and outdoor attractions, more the better.
