Job Duties:
The English and Maths GCSE SEN Tutor will be responsible for providing tailored support and guidance to students with special educational needs (SEN) in English and Maths subjects. Duties include creating individualised learning plans, delivering engaging lessons, assessing students' progress, and adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of each student.
Required Qualifications:
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Specialisation in SEN education
- Enhanced DBS check
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in teaching SEN students
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess student needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in SEN education
- Experience working with students preparing for GCSE exams
Working Conditions:
- Part-time hours, flexible schedule
- Classroom-based tutoring sessions
- Collaborative work with SEN coordinators and other educators

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
