Closing date: 13-01-2025
£55,000 to £65,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Location: Manchester (Hybrid working: at least twice a week in the office)
We’re looking for a Senior Marketing and Propositions Manager to join our brand new Quick Commerce Aggregator team.
Our aggregator app makes customers' lives easier by offering them delivery services from local independent retailers. We’re setting up a new team to revamp and relaunch the app, and we’ve got ambitious growth targets to meet over the next few years.
Being part of this new team will feel fast, fun, and fluid. Think start-up vibes, but with all the knowledge and resources that come with a 180-year-old organisation.
In return for your energy and ambition, we’ll provide life-balance through hybrid and flexible working arrangements, as well as supportive, inclusive leadership and opportunities to learn and grow.
What you’ll do
1. Be responsible for our overall marketing plan for our aggregator app.
2. Support retailers who are part of our app, working alongside our Account Managers.
3. Create monetisation opportunities in the platform, working with big brands on media planning.
4. Build the app marketing proposition to drive sales and order volumes.
5. Be responsible for the merchandising of the platform, focusing on personalisation and compelling customer experiences.
6. Identify emerging trends and ensure we are inline or ahead of the market.
7. Analyse customer data to understand who our customers are to acquire a bigger customer base and retain them.
8. Create and support the team to deliver a strategy to drive more customers to the platform.
This role would suit people who have
1. A strong marketing and merchandising background with experience in e-commerce.
2. Experience working across multiple workstreams and the ability to organise priorities.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to sell our proposition to key partners.
4. Commercial experience with the ability to manage budgets and P&L’s.
5. Experience of managing a team.
Why Co-op?
If you have the skills that we need, we can offer you a competitive salary and great benefits package which includes:
1. 30% off Co-op branded products in our food stores.
2. An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance).
3. 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays.
4. A pension with up to 10% employer contributions.
5. Private healthcare.
6. Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ).
7. Coaching and training to support your career development.
8. Wagestream app – giving you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn.
At Co-op, we’re proud to do things differently. As one of the world’s largest co-operatives, owned by millions of members, community is at the heart of what we do.
Building a diverse environment
We’re actively building diverse teams and we welcome applications from everyone. If you have a disability, we can make reasonable adjustments to our recruitment process according to your needs.
Please note that we may close applications for this role early. As part of your application, you'll need to complete an online assessment. This assessment typically takes between 45-60 minutes.
