Overview
On behalf of Buckinghamshire Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for an Education Tracking Officer to join the Partnership & Information team in Aylesbury. Working alongside the CCIS Manager you will play an important role in tracking young people to establish if they are in learning, contacting those young people who did not have the offer of a place to learn in the summer, and establish which young people did not take up or sustain the places they were offered
Temporary – until March 2025
Hours – 28 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate – £17.61 per hour
Start Date – ASAP
Work Schedule – Mix of office and home working
Location – Aylesbury based
About the role
As an Education Destination Tracking Officer, you will have a number of responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:
Contact young people aged 16 to 18 or their parents to find out if they are in education, employment or training. Contacts involve telephone calls, emails, texts, letters and visits to home addresses.
Using a solution focused approach, answer queries from young people and parents.
Using your specialist knowledge of post 16 pathways in Buckinghamshire, offer signposting to young people who are not in education, employment or training.
Using your knowledge of Early Help services in Buckinghamshire you will offer signposting to support services for young people and families.
Conduct mail-merges to send emails, texts and letters to large groups of young people.
Update young people’s records on the Buckinghamshire CCIS database with the destination information collected.
Manage a caseload of young people
About you
The successful candidate(s) should have:
Experience within the education sector is essential
Knowledge of Post 16 pathways is essential
Knowledge of Early Help services in Buckinghamshire is desired
Must have admin, customer service & telephone experience
