Production Engineer - NPI
Our client is on the lookout for an experienced NPI Production Engineer to join their team. As an NPI Production Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the introduction of new products and ensuring that production processes are optimised for both efficiency and quality. Responsibilities as NPI Production Engineer:
1. Support the introduction of new products into the production environment.
2. Create and observe process controls and procedures to ensure optimal and efficient production.
3. Provide guidance and support to the production team and operators as needed.
4. Implement lean initiatives and focus on waste elimination to improve business efficiency.
5. Review standard work methods and instructions, and identify opportunities for improvement.
6. Conduct stress testing and post-build reviews to ensure quality standards are maintained.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch of new products.
Qualifications and experience as NPI Production Engineer:
1. Previous experience in a similar production position, preferably in an assembly environment.
2. HND or equivalent in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
3. Exposure to lean manufacturing methods and quality methodologies.
4. Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
5. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
6. Experience with flowline manufacturing is a plus.
Day-to-day experience as NPI Production Engineer:
1. Observing and creating process controls and procedures.
2. Providing support and guidance to the production team.
3. Implementing lean initiatives and focusing on waste elimination.
4. Reviewing standard work methods and instructions.
5. Conducting stress testing and post-build reviews.
