Salary: £70 - £100 per day.

A Wolverhampton Primary School, part of an established MAT, is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team.
About the Role:
This is a 1:1 role supporting a child with an EHCP working at EYFS/Year 1 level; therefore, knowledge of basic Phonics would be desired. The role is part-time, working from 8:45-12:15, Monday-Friday from January until July, guaranteeing long-term work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all pupils in Key Stage 1.
2. Provide targeted support to individuals or small groups, ensuring that every child makes progress in their learning.
3. Help create and maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment.
4. Support children with varying abilities, including those with special educational needs, ensuring their inclusion and progress.
5. Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
6. Assist in preparing resources and setting up activities that support active and engaging learning.
7. Work collaboratively with other members of the school community to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
8. Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
We are looking for someone who:
1. Has experience working with children in a school setting, ideally in Key Stage 1.
2. Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
3. Is enthusiastic, caring, and patient with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
4. Can work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
5. Is committed to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children.
6. Is flexible and adaptable, with strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning.
