The Role: We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and skilled SEN Primary Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will work with small groups or individual students with a variety of SEN, tailoring lessons to meet their specific learning requirements and supporting them both academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN. Work collaboratively with the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other staff to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Use a range of strategies and resources to support learning and promote independence. Monitor and track progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and school leadership. Foster an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported. Provide emotional and social support to students, ensuring their well-being. Adapt and differentiate teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Support students with personal care needs where necessary, in accordance with school policies. Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment with both staff and parents. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, ideally within a primary school setting. Knowledge and understanding of a range of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning disabilities, and speech and language needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. A patient, empathetic, and creative approach to teaching. The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners. A commitment to continuous professional development.
