Job Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Crane Operative who will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cranes and other heavy machinery. This role demands a strong understanding of mechanical operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. Key Responsibilities:
* Operate Cranes Safely and Efficiently: You will be tasked with lifting, moving, and positioning loads as per the operational requirements. Your expertise will ensure that all materials are handled safely and efficiently.
* Conduct Pre-Operation Inspections: Regular inspections of crane equipment are vital to maintain safety and functionality. You will be responsible for conducting thorough checks to identify and resolve any potential issues before operations commence.
* Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with your colleagues in shipping and receiving operations. Your collaboration will ensure that materials are moved seamlessly and accurately, supporting the overall efficiency of our operations.
* Assist in Loading and Unloading: In addition to crane operations, you will assist in the loading and unloading of materials from lorries. Your role involves ensuring proper handling techniques are followed to avoid damage to goods and equipment.
* Perform Routine Maintenance: You will be expected to carry out routine maintenance on crane equipment. Regular upkeep is essential to ensure peak performance and longevity of machinery.
