This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a number of site locations.
You will be the first line in all maintenance issues throughout your allocated sites. You may be required to request specialist attendance following initial call out.
The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPM’s. You will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date at all times.
Key Accountabilities
1. Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
2. Respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assess the requirements of the job, and carry out repairs as necessary.
3. Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet agreed timescales and response times.
4. Follow the purchase order process.
5. Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery, promptly advise the Line Manager with findings, and provide recommendations regarding replacements.
6. Ensure compliance documentation is completed and up to date at all times.
7. Advise the on-site customer (manager) of any repair and maintenance issues that could affect the site’s operation.
8. Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by City management.
9. Perform minor alterations and installations within your technical competence according to current specifications.
10. Complete general repairs and maintenance at customer sites as designated by City management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1+2 or equivalent in Joinery, Carpentry, or Building Maintenance.
2. Experience in planned and reactive maintenance is essential.
3. Previous experience in building maintenance is essential.
4. Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g., commercial ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves.
5. Focus on quality of repairs and maintenance.
6. Speed and efficiency in completing work.
7. Responding to service call requests within the agreed response times.
8. Achieving PPM schedule deadlines within agreed timescales.
9. Maintaining health and safety policies.
10. Building positive relationships with clients and City colleagues, and providing feedback.
