Post Title: Social Work Team Manager
Location: Inverness
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term for 23 months
Salary: £47,847 - £52,325 p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.
This post will be located within the Family based care team which supports Fostering Adoption and Kinship provision for Highland. We are developing a dedicated Kinship Service for Highlands carers and are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic applicant to drive forward and lead on this initiative and develop the Team and the Service.

Job Purpose :
To Meet the requirement and standards for registration as a Family Based Care Agency which encompasses Registered Fostering and Adoption services and Kinship services
To be accountable for the practise of staff within the teams and ensure all family based care workers are given adequate support
To ensure effective and efficient recruitment and assessment of kinship, fostering and adoptive carers and provide high quality support

Requirements
You should be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council on the ‘Social Worker’ part of the Register and as such hold a qualification that is recognised by the SSSC as being equivalent to the Diploma in Social Work (DipSW).
Valid driving licence. You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service
