Job description Job Title: Freight Forwarder Responsible to: Freight Forwarding Manager Department: Woodside Global Working hours: Monday to Friday - 09:00 am to 5.30pm Salary: Competitive, depending on experience We are currently recruiting for a Freight Forwarder to join our fast paced and growing team at Woodside Global. About us: Woodside Global is the customs clearance and freight-forwarding division of Woodside Logistics Group working both independently of and in conjunction with its sister transport divisions: Woodside Haulage, Woodside Tankfreight, Woodside Motorfreight and Woodside Distribution. The Person: The successful candidate should have experience in freight forwarding and have a good level of IT literacy including Microsoft Office applications. The successful candidate should have experience working in a busy office environment, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently, whilst maintaining a positive attitude. Key responsibilities: Handling import and export consignments for Woodside Global clients. Responsible for arranging multi-modal bookings with shipping lines, overseas agents and various third-party subcontractors. Liaising with all stakeholders as and when required. Ensure the operations and processes are carried out in accordance with company objectives. Ensure all jobs are entered onto a computerised system in an accurate and efficient manner and invoiced accordingly. Assist in the development and implementation of systems, procedures, and processes in line with ISO accreditation. Ensure all relevant documentation for consignments is provided in a timely manner. Essential Criteria: At least 2 years' experience in a freight forwarding / shipping role. At least 2 years' experience using Microsoft office and other computer packages. At least 2 years' operational knowledge of import and export air/road/sea freight movements. Desirable Criteria: Previous experience processing customs declarations would be beneficial. Experience in using freight management systems & other customs software/packages.
