About the role
Providing an exemplary service for our customers has always been our top priority here at Churchill and we fully understand that the world of benefit entitlements is complicated. It can be a minefield for our customers and their families, therefore to support both our prospective and current customers, we have created a new role for an Entitlements Advisor to join us on a permanent basis.
This role will see you supporting our customers to ensure they have claimed the benefits and financial aid Your key responsibilities will include;
3. Being the first point of contact with our future customers regarding their entitlements
4. You will seek to understand the current customer or prospective Customers circumstances and discuss entitlement options with them
5. Supporting the customer with research and paperwork completion
6. You will arrange events at Lodges that are designed to be informative and to bring to life the potential entitlements a customer could receive
7. As part of your role, it is important that you keep up to date with all benefits that could apply to our customers
8. Using Fintal (or a similar system) to ensure full due diligence and qualification of the Customers eligibility to claim and entitlements.
You will be based from our beautiful Head Office in Ringwood and will travel frequently to our Lodges throughout the UK to meet with customers in person.
Hours of work are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 5.00pm on Friday with one hour for lunch each day.
About you
We are looking for someone with either an understanding or genuine interest in the benefits and grants available in the UK. This may have been gained from your professional career working in a similar role in local government, social services or within the charitable sector. Alterntivately you may have developed your interest from your personal life supporting friends and family.
If you have not worked within a benefits advice role previously, we are keen to find someone with a background in the Retirement Living or Care sector who will have gained in depth understanding of the type of advice and support our customers require.
Above all you will be highly personable, a great communication with a calm approach and have a great deal of empathy for others. You will be confident speaking with a variety of people and presenting to small groups.
Our new Entitlements Advisor will also be organised, proactive with lots of initiative and a real passion for their work.
