What skills and experience we're looking for
For as soon as possible, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Head of Health and Social care with Science to join our team. You will work with another subject specialist and be responsible for the planning and delivering of lessons. The KS4 lessons are already planned but you will have the opportunity to add to these lessons and the student experience.
You will be responsible for working alongside the other subject specialist to design the exciting new AAQ qualification at Level 3 that we will be delivering to our new year 12 cohort in September. The students who study health and social care across KS4 & KS5 love the subject and are keen to do well in lessons. It is a highly performing subject within the academy and so you will be joining a team of dedicated professionals who love the subject and want to see it progress further. You will teach Health and Social Care across the ability range at KS4 and KS5. You will teach Science at KS3 and KS4 with the ability to teach at KS5 depending on experience.
The successful candidate will be working with a team of dedicated staff in a very motivating, forward-thinking environment. Our school is committed to providing excellent CPD at all levels, including weekly teaching and learning development for all and progression programmes for each career stage, from ECT to leadership.
