Personal Assistant / Carer sought
Location: Penzance
Young adult seeking personal assistant experienced with ASD and epilepsy to assist with managing and organising admin and daily personal/household tasks.
Young adult enjoys reading, drawing, music and maritime/polar exploration history. The ideal candidate should possess good organisational skills, patience, empathy/compassion, and great sense of humour. This role would suit a more mature, patient and experienced person with similar interests.
Support required:
- Assist with/perform domestic tasks: cleaning/laundry
- Assist with grocery shopping, meal preparation and planning for the week
- Assist with admin tasks: bill paying, medication coordination, correspondence and calendar organisation
- Accessing community
Hourly rate of pay: £ 19.00 p/h
Current hours sought: 6hrs weekly with possibility to increase. Flexibility in scheduling preferred.
Essential:
- Valid DBS
- Public Liability Insurance (personal carer insurance)
- HMRC proof of self-employment
- Be clear in communication
- Patient
- Knowledge of epilepsy disorders and autism and experience with both or either desired
- Reliability
- Able to be flexible with hours (may need less or more hours a week)
- Non-smoker including vape and e-cigarettes
- At least two local references, with at least one related to a current/recent client
