Calibration Technician- South Aberdeenshire The Role The job holder is accountable for the scheduling and control of all inspection, test and measuring equipment calibration and re-calibration for all company product lines. Responsibilities Scheduling of all calibration of inspection, test and measuring equipment. Keeping a calibration log and ensuring it is up to date. Controlling all external calibration requirements. Reviewing all external calibration certificates. Compiling, filing and controlling all calibration records. Controlling gauges that may be loaned or hired out. Sourcing and ordering new equipment when required. Controlling and calibration of licensee gauges. Identification and traceability of all inspection, test and measuring equipment. Producing clear identification of expiry dates on all inspection, test and measuring equipment. Covering for Inspection personnel for holidays/absences/busy periods. Contributing to QMS and audit activities, and improvement projects. Qualifications/Skills and Experience Essential Knowledge of manufacturing within the Oil & Gas industry including relevant product knowledge. Experience in the operation and the use of calibration tools and mechanisms. Educated to HNC/HND level in relevant subject area or relevant similar experience. Experience and background within Inspection (approx. 3-5 years’ experience). Familiarity of all inspection, test and measuring equipment. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (e.g. word). Desirable Full UK Driving Licence Knowledge and experience of business ERP system, ideally D365 Personal Qualities. Excellent communication (both written and oral), influencing and interpersonal skills, be a proven self-starter and work independently. Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively. Good problem-solving skills. Hardworking, dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated. Highly professional conduct. Must be willing to travel and able to spend time away from home.
