Health & Safety Manager – Telford
Joseph Ash Galvanizing, who are part of the Joseph Ash Group, are currently looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team and ensure that the site is meeting governmental and company safety standards and procedures.
The Health & Safety Manager will report to the General Manager to support the business in “delivering profit safely”. They will support all colleagues on Health & Safety matters to ensure the Company not only complies with its statutory obligations but helps to cultivate a site culture that promotes trust, learning and reporting at all levels.
Your Day to Day
1. Support the site in complying with Health & Safety legislation.
2. Collaborate with the Supervisors and shop floor colleagues to provide guidance on all Health & Safety related matters and give information, advice and coaching on relevant legislation and internal HSE systems and reinforcement of site standards.
3. Responsible for multiple elements across the Health & Safety model, including incident investigation and risk assessment, indicating the necessary measures required for continued legal compliance and continuous improvement.
4. Proactively support the processes on site and be an active participant in the daily and weekly process.
5. Work with the General and Operations Managers to meet the site targets of risk management and accident reduction and drive a proactive safety culture through effective communications and continuous improvement.
6. Maintain the site's compliance within the Group Health and Safety Management System.
7. Support operational leaders to conduct effective investigations and develop sustainable plans to prevent reoccurrence.
8. Participate in change management projects to ensure safety is considered at all times and projects are safely executed.
9. Support shift Supervisors and Managers through guidance to support them in meeting their Health & Safety responsibilities.

5. Good communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently.
6. Experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
What we offer:
* Salary between £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
