About the role
University of Staffordshire are looking to appoint a User Experience Test Analyst to join us in Digital Services. Within this role you’ll deliver continual service improvement of the digital portfolio ensuring a consistent user experience by undertaking testing, analysis and reduction in user problems.
You’ll be responsible for developing and documenting comprehensive test plans and strategies, and validating the functionality, usability, and performance of applications and services. You’ll need to identify, document, and prioritise problems or issues, and work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide feedback, and communicate quality expectations, progress and results.
Our digital portfolio incorporates Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 CRM, Blackboard VLE, Oracle Financials, Tribal SITS, specialist teaching and learning applications covering Games Design, Esports, Computing, Cyber Security, Engineering, and Architecture, Halo ITSM, Microsoft Identity Manager, Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager, Jamf Pro, and Beacon (our in-house developed student app).
What you’ll need to be successful in this role
• A passion for service excellence and a strong attention to detail
• Knowledge and experience of working with IT infrastructure (hardware,
databases, public/private cloud, operating systems, networks)
• Knowledge of system architecture at a high level e.g., concepts such as
application servers, databases, web services
• Knowledge of the Business Analysis lifecycle, embracing agile and other
development approaches
• Experience of using evidence-based requirements and customer journey
mapping
• Strong digital and leadership skills in a fast paced and ever-changing
environment
• Educated to Degree level or equivalent professional qualification or experience
