As we continue our journey, we’re seeking a confident and self-assured team member to enhance our Contracts & Finance Team within the Business and Digital division.
As a Supplier & Contracts Manager, you will report to the Contracts & Finance Manager and work closely with our corporate procurement teams, you will identify and implement opportunities to deliver savings and best practice across a range of supplier and contract management activities.
You will play a crucial role in managing ICT suppliers’ performance to ensure the delivery of cost-effective and efficient ICT solutions as well as agreeing recognised and measurable Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that meet business requirements. Your responsibilities will include identifying and overseeing essential ICT services, evaluating and enhancing current business processes in collaboration with our ICT providers and ensure potential suppliers commit to NLC’s support and change processes.
A degree, SVQ Level 4, HND, or equivalent relevant qualification is essential, along with experience in contract and service management, particularly in handling multiple third-party vendors. Ideally, you will have played a key role in managing and maintaining relationships between a major organisation and its suppliers. You should be able to demonstrate commercial skills in identifying and managing external partners, negotiating supplier contracts to ensure value for money, and providing evidence of experience in contract procurement, preferably within an ICT environment.
Working within the Contracts & Finance Team for North Lanarkshire Council you will have the flexibility of our hybrid work model, blending homeworking with time spent at our Civic Centre and Civic Square offices in Motherwell.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
