Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias
A growing business is looking for an electrically biased Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to carry out electrical and mechanical activities within a manufacturing environment at a fused chemicals processing plant (24-hour operation).
Along with a salary of £41,950 per annum, you will receive a range of benefits including a pension scheme (6% contribution), overtime opportunities, annual medical and occupational health support, access to a welfare block containing a fully functioning kitchen and access to a brand-new shower block/changing area.
You will be working 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off (12-hour shifts).
What you’ll be doing as Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer:
1. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
2. Working under the guidance of the Engineering Supervisor to perform and complete the assigned duties in a timely manner
3. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance data input/output
4. Evaluating equipment performance and recommending improvements
5. Following safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation
6. Identifying and reporting unsafe operations to Line Supervisor immediately
We’re looking for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with:
1. Minimum City & Guilds with 17th Edition
2. HV experience and qualifications desirable
3. Counterbalance fork lift truck licence desirable
4. Flexibility to work different shift patterns
5. Experience within an electrical maintenance environment, preferably in heavy industry / manufacturing sector
6. Experience of working in a factory with inverters, drives, PLCs, motors & control systems
7. Fault finding / diagnostic skills
8. Ability to read and understand circuit diagrams
9. Experience and knowledge of wiring and electrical equipment typically found in office environments
10. Experience working with H&S systems, lock off / tag off procedure
11. Able and willing to assist with non-core skill set tasks
12. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under own initiative
13. Good communication skills
14. Ability to comprehend and safely operate electrical and mechanical equipment
15. Ability to adhere to safe working procedures ensuring safety of oneself and colleagues
16. Physically fit and active
