Job Purpose
The Candidate Resourcer plays a key role in sourcing, supporting, and onboarding candidates for temporary and supply teaching positions. This role involves a balance of engaging candidates over the phone, handling compliance checks, and managing candidate information in our database, ensuring every candidate has a smooth and positive journey from initial conversations to their first confirmed temporary placement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Candidate Sourcing & Support:
Actively identify and engage with candidates suitable for temporary/supply teaching roles. Utilising online job boards and organising online registrations.
Conduct pre-screening calls to assess suitability, ensuring candidates are well-prepared for the onboarding process.
Maintain regular communication with candidates to manage expectations and provide updates on the recruitment process.
2. Onboarding & Compliance:
Ensure all compliance checks are completed (DBS checks, right-to-work verification, qualifications, and references) before placing candidates in schools.
Work with the team to guarantee adherence to safeguarding standards.
Manage the efficient registration of new candidates in line with organisational policies and recruitment regulations.
3. Database & Administration:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records, ensuring all interactions and compliance documents are logged in the system. Data entry and good attention to detail will be very key in this role.
Formatting candidate documents as needed and ensuring candidate profiles/single central records (SCR) are complete before submission to schools.
Keep the recruitment team informed about candidate availability and placement progress.
4. Candidate Journey & Experience:
Focus on delivering an excellent candidate journey by providing clear communication and ensuring all stages of the process are well managed.
Act as a point of contact for candidates, offering support and guidance as they transition into supply teaching roles.
5. Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with recruitment consultants and account managers to ensure a smooth candidate placement process.
Contribute to writing job adverts and using various advertising platforms, including social media, to attract candidates.
Support the wider recruitment team in achieving business targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Person Specification
Skills & Experience:
1. Strong communication skills, particularly over the phone, with experience in recruitment or a similar role. We're looking for a real people person who's not afraid of picking up the phone.
2. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service to candidates/customers.
3. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, especially in managing databases and administrative tasks. Email communication and internal database notes will be essential in this role.
4. Experience in education recruitment or a similar sector is preferred but not essential.
