Are you an experienced Temporary Work Co-ordinator looking to develop your career on a high-profile Civil Engineering project? Or a Site Supervisor, or Sub Agent with a CITB Temporary Works qualification who is looking to take their career in a different direction? Then a role with this market leading Contractor could be for you.
My client is a multi billion Civil Engineering Contractor delivering an iconic Civil Engineering project across the West Midlands. They are looking to add a Temporary Works Co-ordinator who will be responsible for the management and coordination of all temporary works activities within a specified area to meet project requirements.
As Temporary Works Co-ordinator, your duties and responsibilities will include;
* Coordination of all Temporary Works activities ready for construction to meet project requirements.
* Ensure Temporary Works Register is maintained and newly identified items are correctly risk assessed.
* Ensure that construction methods statements and risk assessments comply with the requirements of the temporary works design.
* Ensure that a design brief is prepared with consultation within the project team.
* Ensure that any other temporary works in the vicinity are referenced in the design brief;
* Ensure that a design check is carried out by someone who was not involved in the original design
* Issue certificates
The following qualifications / qualities are essential:
* Previous experience as a Temporary works Coordinator on a project of similar scale and complexity.
* Qualified Civil Engineer or similar equivalent
* Proven knowledge of Network Rail and Highways England technical standards and approval processes.
* Good practical knowledge of BS5975:2019
* Depth of understanding of the construction environment for safe and buildable designs
* Ability to manage conflicting demands, assess priorities, proactively plan the works to ensure timely delivery of project requirements
* Disciplined approach to quality assurance and documentation. Attention to detail, ensuring legal compliance and satisfying project requirements.
* Leading teams, people management skills, effective delegation, mentoring & coaching and developing others
* Working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations, in particular, the Designer and principal Contractors role.
