Recotherm is a market-leading swimming pool air handling unit (AHU) manufacturer, supplying innovative, high-quality solutions to the commercial and domestic marketplace for over 40 years.
Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven M&E Sales/Design Manager to join our senior management team. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales-focused mechanical designer with strong leadership, presentation and communication skills to drive business growth, expand our M&E sales team and design and lead high-value M&E projects.
The Role:
The role will focus on technical sales, design knowledge, business development and team growth. You will be responsible for driving technical engagement with M&E contractors and consultants, expanding and mentoring a team of Design Technicians, delivering strategic sales initiatives, presenting CPDs and representing the company on stands at industry trade shows.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead technical sales, engaging with M&E contractors and consultants to drive business growth
* Expand and develop the design team, recruiting and mentoring new talent
* Take responsibility for the delivery of M&E quotations
* Deliver engaging presentations & CPD training to industry professionals
* Participate in technical and management meetings, contributing to business strategy
* Provide verbal and written technical expertise, ensuring clear and confident communication
* Handle complex technical challenges and customer conflict resolution effectively
What We’re Looking For:
* A dynamic leader with a passion for growing and developing high-performing teams
* Proven sales-driven mechanical designer with a strong commercial focus
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - able to engage clients and stakeholders effectively
* Strong presentation skills, confident in delivering CPD training and industry talks
* HVAC & AHU expertise, with detailed knowledge of Psychrometrics & Swimming Pool Ventilation (essential)
* Proficiency in CAD, Word, Excel and Outlook
* Knowledge of Salesforce (or equivalent) although full training will be given
* Previous team management experience, with the ability to recruit, lead and develop staff
* A strategic thinker who is ambitious and driven to step into a Board level role in the future
