Specifically, there is one positions available within our Supported Lodgings Team for Assessing and supporting Supported Lodgings hosts for young people with Manchester. As an assessing social worker, you will be required to: Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in children’s services and good knowledge of Supported Accommodation Regulations Standards March 2023, Fostering Minimum standards, and The Fostering Regulation Services (England) 2011. Be able to provide a high level of support and challenge to Supported Lodgings hosts to achieve positive outcomes permanence and stability, a good understanding of trauma informed practice and be able to develop and support Supported Lodgings hosts to provide a secure base for cared for children and young people. You will also be required to support us with existing young people's placement as well as providing regular supervision, training, annual reviews and other supports. In addition, you will be required to undertake initial and full assessment of Supported Lodgings hosts and present reports to the Supported Lodgings panel. We are looking for social workers with the right values, and enthusiasm for relationship strengths-based social work with children and families, and in return we will support you in gaining the skills to continue your professional development.
