Job Summary
We're looking for a multiskilled engineer looking for their next challenge. This position will be supporting a commercial estate with some residential properties with a strong maintenance bias but installation experience would also be favoured. A strong commercial HVAC and plant room background will be a necessity in this role with a good commercial understanding of maintaining such systems.
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for 1st line technical support for HVAC and plant room equipment
2. Responsible for required escalation on faults and reactive PPMs across Air-con, Chillers and ASHP
3. Undertake PPM and proactive works issued through the helpdesk within relevant SLAs
4. Undertake any required repairs and replacement of related equipment
5. Diagnose faults and support repairs
6. Undertake plumbing and heating installation work and be competent with a wide range of systems
7. Complete regular reviews of HVAC systems and provide detailed information of faults, proposed rectification or suggested improvements.
8. Ordering materials and adhering to finance procedures regarding PO numbers etc.
9. Ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed in accordance with established procedures
10. Work with the full engineering team liaising with other specialisms where necessary
11. Perform other duties within your capabilities as assigned.
12. Maintain the reputation of the company for high standards of work and professionalism at all times.
13. To work as a positive team player, demonstrating mutual respect and integrity for others whilst maintaining open and effective communication at all levels with the business.
Key Skill/Experience Requirements
Required:
1. NVQ Level 3 6189-33 NVQ Diploma in plumbing & Heating
2. Air Conditioning: City and Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants or CITB J11 Equivalent
3. Gas Safe Registered
4. F Gas certified
5. CSCS Card
6. Valid UK Driving License
7. Substantial, relevant experience in commercial facilities management.
8. Well versed in completing paperwork including PPM paperwork, inspection sheets, RAMS etc.
9. Good working knowledge of the building services environment and other disciplines would be a distinct advantage.
Your work will take you into buildings with children and vulnerable adults, therefore you will be asked to complete an enhanced DBS check.
