POSITION: MULTISKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (ELECTRICALLY BIASED)
Thomas Hardy Bottling Group is a unique, family-owned service company dedicated to the manufacturing and packaging of a wide variety of drinks. The Group has two production facilities in the Northwest that are currently able to package beer, cider, FAB's, soft drinks, juice drinks, and tonic waters into both glass and PET bottles.
To support our customer needs, we have made a multimillion-pound investment in our Burtonwood site which has seen us expand our packaging capability and increase capacity by installing an automated high-speed canning line that will be capable of producing over 350 million cans per year. As a result of this investment, we need to increase our workforce to support our business.
We are looking for an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join our current Engineering Team. The position will be based in the bottling/canning halls, currently working a 3 shift pattern (06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00/22:00-06:00) Sunday to Friday.
Performance Objectives
* Responsible for breakdown situations, planned preventative maintenance, and planned shutdowns.
* Continuous improvement, working within the team to strive to continuously deliver performance improvements.
* Key relationships will be with the Engineering Manager, Production Team Leaders, and the Engineering Team.
* The role will be part of a three-man team, covering the whole Bottling/Canning Halls, Process Plant, and Services.
Personnel Specification
* Indentured with HNC in Electrical Engineering.
* Experience within a packaging environment preferred, but not essential.
* Extensive knowledge of electrical, automation, and PLC software, ideally Siemens S7.
* Experience of working in a challenging quality and customer-focused environment.
* Experience of high-pressure situations where decision-making may be required with little supervision.
