Egis Road Operations M40 Ltd are looking to speak to a Works Scouting and Briefing coordinator The award-winning M40 motorway stretches for 123km and links London, Oxford and Birmingham. Since 2018 Egis has ensured the smooth operation and safety of the motorway for the 100,000 vehicles that travel on it each day. Job description Works scouting and briefing Coordinator, assisting with the planning and scouting operation on the M40 motorway. You will be working as part of a team undertaking scouting works on the M40 network and identifying the scope of works within closures as defined by the programme. You will also be assisting in the creation and review of briefing packs for all planned works on the network. Job Description Scouting Upcoming Work Conduct scouting operations for planned maintenance work or defect rectification. Advise on the expected duration of each task. Advise on appropriate resources and materials. Document and report findings to the Lead Scheduler. Create Briefing packs Assist the Lead Scheduler in creating comprehensive work packs. Ensure that all necessary information and instructions are included in the work packs. Quality Control To visit site to review works that have been undertaken by works teams before closing down defects Actively report health and safety concerns. Report any near misses or incidents promptly. Promote a positive and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and best practices. Promote a positive and proactive attitude towards health and safety. Profile PROFILE The successful candidate will require extensive knowledge of the M40 network and the requirements of the defects they will be scouting. They will also need to understand and demonstrate a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills whilst on the network reviewing planned works. Technical skills: Knowledge of the Roadspace booking process would be advantageous but not essential A keen eye for detail in all aspects of the work Good knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Office package including Excel, Word and MS Project. The ability to resolve issues on site and provide solutions to the wider team Educational background and experience: A good level of education Experience of working on a high-speed network an advantage.
