Maintenance Coordinator The Person: As our site Maintenance Co-Ordinator, your role is to provide a safe, high-quality, cost-effective maintenance service to site assets including preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance ensuring achievement of Factory Key Performance Indicators, targets and budgets. To provide technical support to Operational teams, and Operations Management, monitoring maintenance activities, routines and procedures for accuracy, effectiveness and completion. The Role Responsibilities: Breakdown Support: Assist in coordinating urgent repairs to minimise production downtime, ensuring prompt response and resource allocation. Maintenance Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules for all plant equipment and machinery, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Work Coordination: Liaise with engineers, technicians, and production teams to prioritise and schedule maintenance tasks efficiently. Spare Parts & Inventory Management: Support the Stores Lead to maintain optimal stock levels of critical spare parts. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure accurate record-keeping of all maintenance activities, asset history, and compliance with safety regulations. Contractor Management: Oversee third-party maintenance providers, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to site safety policies. Continuous Improvement: Own the Break down Analysis program to Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and enhance equipment performance. Safety & Compliance: Ensure maintenance work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including risk assessments and work permits. Budgeting & Cost Control: Assist in managing the maintenance budget, tracking expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Qualification & Knowledge Requirements: - NVQ/BTEC/HNC in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related field - Experience in the food production, FMCG, or manufacturing industry is an advantage. - Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. - Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. - Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) or similar maintenance planning tools. - Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance processes and best practices. - Excellent communication skills to liaise between engineering, production, and external contractors. - Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) About WARP: PROPER and Eat Real were born out of a belief that healthy snacks should taste great.
