Activision Central Tech works to support our development studios and their titles. Comprised of seven main teams, we have many specialties including big data, privacy and security, motion capture and animation pipeline technologies, graphics, build and infrastructure for studio development and data centers, optimization, systems programming and online services including matchmaking and networking. What you bring to the table
We are looking for an Expert Cinematics Engineer with an eye for detail and passion for helping to build the technology behind our biggest games. This is a great opportunity to work alongside some of the most forward-looking technologists in the industry, and to be part of a team that defines and shapes the technology of our upcoming Call of Duty titles.
The videogame industry and therefore our business is fast-paced and will continue to evolve. As such, the duties and responsibilities of this role may be changed as directed by the Company at any time to promote and support our business and relationships with industry partners. This role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
* Engage with content and engineering teams across our studios to deliver cutting-edge cinematic experiences for our games.
* Develop robust solutions for synchronization of cinematics in both single and multi-player game environments.
* Provide support and new feature development across tools, pipeline and engine code.
* Collaborate with different engineering departments to target the highest possible visual and audio fidelity.
Player Profile
Experience
* 7+ years of game development experience.
* Experience working as part of a large team within a complex codebase.
Knowledge & Skills
* A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* Excellent C/C++ programming, debugging and optimization skills.
Key Attributes
* Keen interest in, or direct experience working on, game animation or cinematics systems.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Extra Points:
* Experience developing for game consoles.
* Credited on 2 or more AAA game titles.
* Experience with client/server game engines.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $121,500.00 - $224,880.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location.
