Job Title: Project Planner/Controller
Department Overview:
The Project Planner plays a key role in driving the successful execution of projects by implementing and managing best practices in project planning. This role involves close collaboration with the Business Performance Management Team and Technical Teams to develop, deploy, and oversee an integrated project plan while ensuring the adherence to company standards for planning and scheduling.
The role is 50/50 split Hybrid.
Up to £60 an hour Umbrella only.
6 Months
SC clearance required.
Responsibilities:
* Evaluate project progress and performance, comparing actual results with contractual and internal goals to identify variances and their causes.
* Prepare detailed reports and propose corrective actions to maintain or enhance project progress.
* Create and launch the project’s overall schedule, ensuring it is deployed and updated according to company guidelines.
* Help build planning capabilities within the project team by coaching engineers, production teams, and project managers on effective planning and scheduling practices.
* Integrate individual work package plans into a unified network, ensuring full alignment with the company’s standards. Oversee and maintain the project’s performance measurement baseline.
* Support work package teams by helping them update their plans on a monthly basis.
* Generate, distribute, and report project scheduling data, providing advice on resolving conflicts and recommending corrective measures.
* Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology as needed.
* Perform critical path analysis for the project in accordance with company standards.
* Develop strong working relationships with engineers and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of the company’s project control standards, systems, and methods, delivering accurate, up-to-date project performance data.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Advanced proficiency and experience with Primavera, SAP PS, and industry-standard software applications (especially spreadsheets).
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within large, diverse teams (engineering, finance, commercial, project management, etc.).
* Ability to excel in a multicultural, pan-European work environment.
* Solid experience in commercial and financial management.
* A proactive team player who can inspire and motivate others, with strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
